I have always been a planner. I don’t like doing anything last minute, but if the time called for it, I can change up my plans for something else. As long as it’s better.
The key is you don’t want to be behind in your daily goals and lessons. So planning a week or more in advance is what needs to happen to not go crazy last minute.
A lesson plan is what you use to write down your activities for each day, but you’ll need a supplies list to put together what you’ll need. Supplies for each and every lesson, center, and activities.
I have the entire month of August ready to go ( although we’ll see how this goes living in an alternative environment for the month of August) and September will be written down next. usually after the first week of the month is done, I start planning the next.
Now as far as supplies go, that needs to be done the week before. Copies ( yes copies, don’t let their school district tell you different) , art supplies, toys, etc. I also have been changing out the dramatic play on Sunday nights after the kids go to bed. That way they wake up to a whole new world. Lol.
I will be using these files ( colored coded again) to help with their work. Every copy that I make does the week, we I’ll go into their folders. I made a boo boo in the purple, it should say next week. I’ll fix that when I get my life back. lol
So organize and plan ahead. Start reading up on your kids home school program your choosing. The lesson plans, etc. then start planning it out.
