If you have ever googled IKEA HACKS, you will get a lot of cool DIY projects that will save your pocket book instead of buying the actual thing. The pictures above are from my father helping me make my IKEA TROFAST shelf and making it into a piece of the pretend play kitchen area. It holds all their pretend food they have collected over the YEARS. However I have turned it into other things to make sense for the pretend play area. I just cover up the food with poster board or the roll paper and then draw on it what it has turned into.
Remember these pictures. I turned it into a Surf Shack one week, an Airport Check in another. I have turned it into a Vet Hospital check in desk, I have turned it into a Puppet theatre as well. Its taking what I have all over again and reusing it how it is needed.
Now there are other IKEA HACKS out there that use their furniture to make the perfect preschool at home classroom.
You cant go wrong with any of these. As you can see i can turn my TROFAST shelf and make it into a train table, or Lego table. Or take my cube shelf and make it into a Doll House. Its pretty easy and like i said will save you money in the end.
