So, we are moving into a temporary home for the next month and while they is happening our home is getting remodeled. Now I can’t remember if I had said it before but our apartment is the original “traditional” look. It’s got brown laminate Faux wood floors and white cabinets and my countertops + bathrooms, have the oldest plastic flesh color.
The appliances are all white as well. We have lived in this same place for 6 years. Without incident. Now that this is happened, the owners of the complex don’t want to pay for a fix up on a traditional, so while we are in the temp place, ours will get completely redone. Grey faux wood laminate, grey countertops, stainless steel appliances, new carpet and new paint. So needless to say I am a little excited.
I am not apprised to one day get a house but I love that when something goes wrong, it’s paid for. So saving money is a big thing.
When we get into our temp home it’s going to be smaller, but I am sure we’ll manage. I plan on doing the kids school as best I can, for now. Starting the week after we get in it, the theme is camping. Luckily I have supplies ready to go for that in pretend play, but I have to get the kids new school area together in a day, to be ready and set a schedule starting Monday.
Now about the theme. Since I won’t have any decorations up, I’ll have about a month to think about it, but yeah I want to redo my theme. I like the scribble rainbow don’t get me wrong I’m keeping with that. But I don’t like the weather charts or the other pockets I got. They were the only prices that got destroyed anyways during our little event. So I have to find something different.
It’s going to be a rainbow classroom more than anything. So I have to find more things that are rainbow. I think I’m going with a teacher created recourses : colorful vibes mixed with confetti. Maybe some other rainbow stuff too. Wish me luck. I will keep you posted.
