During this hard time for everyone, it’s good to know you still have friends and family who love you and can help you in your time of need. Someone to bellow out your frustrations to, someone that understands what you are going through.
I have to say I would not be blogging here today if it wasn’t for such a friend who I met though another friend, who is also married to a high school friend on mine.
She will remain nameless during this post but just know girl, I love you guys, and I will always be there for you if you need me.
So about when I started the blog it was cuz she was telling me about how stressed she was about doing schooling ( for her preschool toddler at home) and was wondering what I was planning on doing to get some ideas. I sent her a bunch of stuff on what I planned on doing and it did help her in some way to go out and find her own way of teaching. Which she has done.

This is for her 2 almost 3 year old. Her 6/7 old is doing digital flex learning at home and her 4/5 year old is going to preschool in person. Cuz preschools are somehow doing great at this covid thing.
She found this weekly focus board on Pinterest and I was so happy she chose this rout of learning. It’s Easy, simple , and you can get it all done with stuff from the dollar store like she did.
Weekly focus is what I did over the summer to help prep my kiddos for what was to come. I attached it to themes every week and they got it so we’ll by the end.
It consists of a number of the week ( in different forms) , letter of the week, shape of the week, color of the week, etc. you do activities based on those things every day to enforce it.
When it comes to letter I will say this, don’t do the alphabet in order. Its better in my experience to mix it up. That way, they don’t always have to put them in order. If that makes sense.
Colors, you’ll be doing those and the shapes a bunch different times, you just have to come up with different activities every time ( more advanced than before ) to build on it.
Numbers are infinite, but for kids 2-4 they only need to learn 1-20. But it doesn’t hurt to be ahead. Whatever your kid can handle is up to you.
Anyways, when your at home, with your kid(s) you need to just start simple with their stuff, and build on it from there. Talk to your friends, family, and make sure you collaborate. It will help I promise. It will keep you sane.
Good luck.
