Just doing zoo theme this week is bringing up some icky feelings within me.
Amazing how time goes by so fast when your having fun and the goes super slow when you can’t stand where you are.
I felt like the weeks were just flying by, even for the last few months during covid. When it started I was going to have a heart attack cuz I didn’t want to stay home. I get cabin fever as it is, that’s why I took my kids places almost every day. I wanted them to be out in the world learning from experience.
Plus I got bored at home and tired of trying to pry my two fighting kiddos apart. But it didn’t turn out all that bad as I had said in one of my old posts.
It actually became a whole new schedule and helped with my son learning to potty train. ( still working on pee, but at least I don’t have to smell any smelly pull ups)
In the beginning it was hard at first cuz they kids kept asking to go to the Zoo, the Aquarium ( Sea Life rocks) , the Crayola Experience, pump it up, and our most favorite Uptown Jungle.
What’s sad is I wished for those types of places all the time when I was a kid, and now they are everywhere. Climbing places I mean.
Yes we had ( in the 90’s ) Discovery Zone………

And we had Skateland…….

And Peter Piper ( back when it was good, lots of games and things to do) my favorite even had a merry go round…….. I think it still has it but half the space.

But today, kids had it all before covid.
Xtreme Air , Urban Air, Legoland discovery Main event, and like I said Uptown Jungle.
Now it’s just sad that all those places are mostly still closed or have limited time to play and when you can play. Not even worth it if they have to even wear a mask.
I actually have a dream to one day my own play place for family and friends, kids and even grownups. Not saying it cuz someone might steel it. But it’s wrecked for now.
It’s weird go on day after day without going to those places, and yet we have made our own fun by using our family Homes into adventures or even go on mini vacations to get out of the house.
This past weekend we went up to flagstaff to get out of the heat and it was worth it. Even for the two days. Had loads of fun. Went fishing, and to oak creek canyon to be swimming in the river.
Went with my parents by the way. Then today before we came home we went to check out Snowbowl. And the summer lift. Didn’t take my kids up that, they would get scared, but I got to go and maybe this winter we’ll go back to sled down it’s bunny slopes.

You got to use what you got. And going on mini trips , hiking, biking, walking, and enjoying the world is our current world.
Oh well. We may miss our indoor places, but I have hope that this will all be over soon and back to normal.
Later!!!!!
