It maybe almost September, but for AZ we are only halfway through our summer. Lol. Fall doesn’t start until October 15 for us. Sometimes even Halloween can be a high of 84 trick or treating.
So when my parents and I realized our older water slide was starting to fall apart, and smell, it was time for another.
What’s interesting is that these slides you can buy for your kids in the back yard, won’t last much more than two years. So two summers. It stinks cuz some of these can go as high as 1,000 dollars.
The Bonzai company definitely is a good company to go with if you want to go bigger for older kids and more expensive. However, the smaller and cheaper ones are good enough for kids up to 10 years old. So what’s the point.

Storage for these things stink. Don’t ever try to use the bag it comes with. You can’t get it back in, so invest in an industrial grade storage bin to place if in. Course you have to let it deflate and also let it dry. If you don’t let it dry fully out in the sun for a full day, the thing will rot and smell early.

The hose for these things alway suck. So don’t even attempt to use it. Reasons: 1. If you don’t empty it out or pump out the water after use, it will mold in just a matter of days. 2. They are made cheaply and don’t hook up well.
Personally if I made any of these blow up water slide things, I would build a built in hose hook up right to the blow up device and it would squirt directly onto the slide from the side. not a tube hook up.
Anyways, the company we chose to go with this summer is COSTWAY. They have two slides to choose from that are less than 300 before tax. But after tax it’s about 318. Still a good deal. One catch…….. NO BLOWER.

We have always gotten the water slide ( for the summer) and the bouncy house ( for the fall) from SAMS CLUB. The company they use is called…..My First.

was different.
Needless to say you can keep your non water ones longer cuz it doesn’t develop mold inside . But sometimes it’s fun ( cuz they are cheaper than the ones on amazon) that if some are more fun looking , you can always have two. Like I said, they aren’t that expensive. Especially after a month in the rack, Sams discounts them.
Back to the pump. Since we have the pump from the previous slide, and since sams is sold out for this summer, COSTWAY, was our best option. So far it’s an awesome slide and the kids like having the theme of the castle. It comes in two castle looks.
Costway has them both on their website for sale and on Walmart.
Pumps, are only 80 dollars to replace the one that blows. But our one has lasted us 4 years. Through two slides, and not a third. So it would be good.
Our part one of a new beginning is being more active outside and trying to get though the rest of the summer. The hottest yet.
