Before covid, the kids an I rarely stayed at home all day long. Right after breakfast and getting dressed we used to head out as soon as we could to our favorite places. we used to do it in schedule too.
We would switch it up , but one day a week we would go to Sea Life Aquarium. AZ MILLS Essentially for an all morning long walk and stuff to do.
Starting off our time at the indoor mall kids climbing area while waiting until the mall opened and sometimes we would walk into Burlington Coat Factory around 930, because the opened early. Why? They have an awesome toy section with a great selection of discontinued toys that you can’t get anywhere else.
Especially around October they start getting in their Christmas toys in bulk. I called it the toy story, and the kids would play and pick out what would be on their Santa List.
Then we would make our way to SeaLife or the LEGO place. Once my son got old enough we got a membership (joint) for both places. Some days we would only go to one, and others we would go to both. Based on their good behavior, Or if one was more busy than the other.
The Legoland is okay, but it’s not the real LEGO land. It needs more rides, and more roped off places for the little kids To play in. Duplo. According to the managers, they are planning to expand because there is more space at the back of the property. In my person opinion, they should get rid of the 3D theatre and the Dino Room and put in another ride there. Then take out the Duplo and the LEGO Friend areas, turn those into their party rooms. Then take their party rooms to expand into the new area where their would be a bigger Duplo area that is roped off from the older kids ( 5 and under) and also make a LEGO Friend area and ride. I hope that will be the case. Plus the gigantic model room is a waste of space as well. Just my opinion.
Now of course Legoland is closed except for the store right now.
The kids and I have been back to SeaLife since covid recently and they have changed a bunch. Sectioned off all the exhibits and you and your family have to stay in your area until the family in the next section moves on to the next as well. Course right now not a lot of people are in their due to covid and also homeschool and school starting.
From there we would stop off at the puppies and then the Disney store.
The cool thing about our Disney Store at AZ Mills is that it’s three stores in ONE. It’s the regular store supplies , like the toys and the costumes. Second it’s a discount store. It has lesser cost items, and clearance items that are sent from the other stores once their are done with the items. And third it has Disneyland and DisneyWorld park items that are discounted as well. We love this store due it’s size too.
Finally we finish our time by riding some of the rides they have along the mall. Quarter rides.
It’s fun going there. In the morning of course. AZ Mills is known for being part of dangerous characters during the late afternoon and evening. They are trying to clean it up.
We went yesterday and a lot of new stores have opened up, and covid precautions are in place.
So if your visiting AZ during this time in our lives, I would recommend it. Just as soon as they open. Which is 11 right now.
