AZ moms Favorite Places we Used to Go before Covid!!!! Part 3 out of 5, INDOOR PLAY-PLACES.

My kids favorite day of the week, especially during the summer months, was going to the indoor play places that we went to.

First up is Uptown Jungle in Chandler.

Uptown jungle ended up being the kids favorite one out of all , that we became regulars. The staff there are so kind and so friendly that they knew who we were. We mostly went during toddler time 9am-12pm and it was a discounted price. But after going to many times we earned free entry passes , and then last Christmas they had the best gift card deal. Spend 50.00 on a gift card pass you get two free play passes and climbing socks. I got one of those but got another one for Christmas from my in laws.

Needless to say we have a lot of free play time coming to us. We only got to use a small bit of it until covid happened. So we have a bunch leftover when this is all over and done with.

2. Pump it up Bounce place……

The one in tempe is by far the best blow up in door bounce places our of all of them. The space is bigger than the other bounce place in the valley ( bounce U) which is so over crowded in their space. Bounce U’s toddler time is cheaper and it has more activities for the toddlers than bounce U. They have other things to play with as well other than bounce things and better staff in each room. The rooms are situated in a way the staff can help watch the kids. Bounce Us rooms are too small and awkward to even get a full view of the whole room. So Pump it up has my recommendation more than Bounce U ever will.

3. Giggles in Chandler.

A very cute little place that is for toddlers only. Ages 6 and under the kids can climb , jump, and play with their various toys. They have a play kitchen, train table, musical instruments with a stage, mini cars and bikes, and finally they have mini roller coasters ( same ones you can buy) for the little kids for a small ride.

The kids loved coming here, but it got a little pricy per time and even their monthly membership is too pricy. 50 per kid per month, 39 for any kid after that. I pay that per year over at the aquarium. So it isn’t a good deal. However they do have great party space and deal. We liked going here, but not enough to get a membership. But I highly recommend this place if you have a baby to toddler.

4. The I.D.E.A Museum in Mesa.

This place once again was awesome to go to during the summer months and when the kids were really little. They have a membership and it is totally worth the price. Especially their 6 month membership. Perfect for only using it during summer. Which is called seasonal which is 50.00 for 6 months. So much better than Giggles. The picture shows their toddler only area, 6 and under again. They have lots of pretend play and a baby area as well. They have a small exhibit are which changes , and also a couple of other areas that are constant throughout the year. Totally worth it. Well when it was open, and covid was not around.

Now time for a quick word on the ones I would avoid.

Besides Bounce U, I would avoid these two places. And this is from personal experience and also opinion.

Makutus Island: built back in the 90’s it was originally owned by Disney as a party place concept. Didn’t go very well and they closed down. A private family bought it and remodeled it to resemble a Rain Forest. It was a great concept and a cool place to go, but it has been falling apart and not keeping it clean as it should. Every time the kids and I went to the toddler time, they always caught a cold or flu after they played here. So we stopped going.

The second is Bounce A Rama: I thought it would be a great new place to take our kids. Lots of blow up pieces based on the 8 wonders of the world, and wide open space.

However the first time we went their, my daughter got a strained neck by sliding down one of the slides, getting her foot caught in the dent at the end, and flipped out. thankfully she was okay but only 20 minutes later I tripped backwards on one of their small mats and Tore a ligament in my ankle.

An ambulance came to tend to me, and my husband had to take me to the hospital. I was in a boot for 3 months.

From what I gathered at the dvd is that the mars in front of the slides are too tall and too small. Walking backwards to get out of the way and my ankle came down the side of the mat and snapped.

The manager wasn’t the kindest person, only cared so much as not to get sued , which I should have, cuz he didn’t even offer to a free jump time for us. Just tokens for the stupid arcade.

But I am a good person, so I just will avoid that place altogether.

Those are my favorites and my least favorites. If you have any others to add, don’t forget to comment . Let me know.
