The keto diet. Does it work and is it worth it.
Yes and yes!!!!!!!!
When I gave Birth to my son three years ago, I couldn’t loose the baby weight as I should have , and mainly it was due to him not breast feeding. I don’t blame him. He’s a healthy boy and so smart. However I delivered him at 190 and needed to get down to 170. So in September two years ago I decided to go on the Keto Diet.
I went to our families favorite GNC by my parents house and talked to my friend the owner. She helped me understand what foods I could and couldn’t eat, plus she reccomended some vitamins to help me through it.
CLAs and Garcinia Cambodia are the perfect start pills to take. Not the direct Keto Pills you find over the counter. I recommend going to your local GNC or vitamin place you trust.
Any who, I started it and by thanksgiving I had met my goal and then some by loosing 30 pounds. Now the down side is, you go to the bathroom a lot. And yes, it is so awesome to only feel like that in the morning and then you get a huge burst of energy for the whole rest of the day.
Now what can’t you eat on the Keto diet. SIMPLE
NO CARBS AND NO SUGARS.
I know that sounds like it sucks, but truly it’s not. Think about it, after eating a cheeseburger or a bowl of pasta, you feel utterly full and want to throw up cuz of how full you are. Your stomach hurts and you can barley move. That’s not good for you. Feeling full is not supposed to feel like you want to be sick.
So after two weeks of only eating what you can, you start to not miss that food. You don’t crave them and when you bite into anything too carby or sugary you don’t like the taste. That’s my opinion anyway.
I mean you can have some carbs but you have to look at the foods nutrition block on all products and see how much it does have.

For example my daughters cereal of LIFE has 33g of carbs. Hell no. And 8 g of sugars, and that’s still too high. To loose the weight you can only eat up to 7g of carbs and sugars per product.

One of my favorite snacks is sunflower seeds and it meets my requirements for one serving.
So what can’t I eat again. Pretty much, no pasta, no bread, no rice. Etc. opposite of the BRAT diet. Lol.
What can I eat then? Meat, fish, veggies ( green, and white) fruit (berries only) , oils, butters. Buts and seeds.
My breakfast is bacon and eggs. No toast. Lunch is always small, typically cheese and seeds mix , or a salad. You can have all the ranch you want. Hummus too. Just dip peppers into them. Then dinner is a huge meat product. Roast with limited spices, chicken baked or pan fried, or even tenders wrapped in bacon and backed in oven. That’s my favorite.

If you have Pinterest , look up keto recipes and there are so many and they are all good.
Seafood is always a good idea. Shrimp scampi, fried scallops, crab and butter. Uh I love it. I found a pack of good king crab legs at Safeway for 20.00. So worth it.
Meat. Wise, the sky is the limit. Did I mention all the bacon you can eat.
After thanksgiving I fell off the wagon and for the past year I have been eating low carb items but still eating carbs. I gained the weight back and I just didn’t Like that. So back I’d April this year I needed back on my diet.
Took a while but by June I was back on my pills to help, and fully on the diet. And it is working. I have lost 16 pounds and loosing more by the day.
My goal is 150-160. I’m at 173 as of this morning. So wish me luck.
Carbs aren’t worth the risk of my health to keep me from doing things with my babies.
