Apples seemed to be a good subject today for the kiddos. They really liked painting with the apples. Now I boo booed and cut them the wrong way I think. I didn’t cut them with the star in the middle, but I think it turned out better because they actually looked like apples when it was done.
The Science experiment went well. They Taste Tested a couple of different apple snacks. Plus answered questions about them. Then we did another experiment. Sink or Float.
Two of the kids said it would float, and one said it would sink. They floated in the end. The kids loved doing this, I think I want to try to do more sink or float things. Course there is always a backfire to SINK OR FLOAT.
My son loves watching BLIPPI shows, and he has a few sink or float things. My son is so obsessed, he loves to just throw items in the nearest water source to see if it sinks or floats. NO matter what it is. Doesn’t make certain family members happy. When they pick up a towel and throw it in the pool. Oh well. It is a learning experience.
Apples are fun to learn with also. Plus the snacks it makes, they can make from scratch too as a sensory project.
Later this week we are going to possibly make an APPLE pie. See what they think of it.
Have fun.
