For the past couple of weeks, I have been scrambling to find Number block recourses for my kids math lessons. They crave the number blocks, and are so excited about math. They make it simple and easy.

If you haven’t read my blog on Numberblocks, please leave this post and go find it. LOL. I am still learning, and Don’t know how to link up blogs yet.

To Recap….

Numberblocks is a British television show that Netflix has had for some time. It is taking the old school blocks that we used in math and turned them into loveable characters.

These are characters 1-10. They actually go up further than this. There are characters for 11-20 as well, and then after that they count by 10’s all the way up to one hundred. And each season has a series of episodes that introduces the characters with their own special song. They also have episodes that surround the idea of pairs, adding, subtracting, odds, evens, etc.

I highly recommend this show.

Now back to the app and website I found.

Twinkl is a program that was created by two teachers for other teachers and homeschoolers, and even parents, to have FREE access to thousands of free printable and utensils to get the job done.

I mean look at my wall now. I took down the alphabet and the posters, and put up a huge numberblocks wall.

This will help during math time. My three year old is loving it, and pointing out his favorite numbers. We just began watching the 11-20 series. And they are eating it up.

What is interesting is that with each math lesson I do, I can attach one episode or two with it to reinforce that lesson.

A friend gave me my own set of counting blocks to use, i just wish I had the actual numberblock toys. They are only available on the website that owns number blocks. You have to pay huge shipping and the difference between the pound and the dollar. Wish Amazon had them for sale in America.

Etsy has some hand made toys, and also some print outs, but nothing that is actually licensed.

I would like to thank Twinkl for all the amazing things to print out and it gives me more recourses to use at home. FOR FREE.

I would check it out when you got the chance.

NUMBERBLOCKS ROCKS.
