Plans for the Our Living Room next year, when the kids start school. Classroom becomes…..?

When I do go back to work, and the kids are in school full time, what will my corner classroom turn into. ( if we are still in our apt)

I suspect it will go back to the way it was. Just a learning corner, so the kids can do their homework, and have recourses. Then the other side will be a reading nook, or their play area again. That way I can redo their room again.

Living in a 1040 square foot apartment can be a sizing challenge. It’s amazing what you can fit in there and what saves room.

Since coming back to our apt, it feels a bit bigger, but it’s still just the same size. Reworking then space is always a challenge but it’s so much FUN for me. I love redoing any room. Moving this around, reordering furniture.

Having a classroom or an MPR was the most fun for me. Cuz I had a lot of space to redo or rearrange, all the time.

It’s been my personal experience that kids love seeing something change in their spaces. Make it more appealing, more interesting , and new! Plus the old toys that you had stored away for months have come out of the moth balls and are exciting all over again.

It was so much fun to change up the layout of my MPR’s for my kids. When the bell rang and they ran into the room I would hear their shocked voices and their antsy little bodies wanting to play with it all. Made me happy.

My babies are the same way. They come home from grandmas or wake up in the morning on a Monday after I had changed their areas while they slept,. It’s a Christmas morning surprise to them, and they love it.

Love this picture.

I have to say I can’t wait until we get our first house. The plans I have are endless.

Now for our apt, if we are still here within the next year, I will eliminate the classroom and redecorate the walls.

The left side where the chalkboard is will be ripped apart and the chalkboard moved. I will decorate for the kids as an art wall. Their art work from school will go up there and it might become their okay corner again, or a reading nook. I have plans to get them for Christmas some comfy chairs or bean bags. like below but better.

The classroom half will be taken apart and the chalkboard will return to that side as it was before the flood. As seen below.

And about it will be our own little helpful stuff for Livis kinder class words and Wills preschool.

So many choices.

Well. It’s Sunday. Time for Monday. Tomorrow is the start of Farm week. As always I will keep you all posted how it goes. There might be a surprise at the beginning of the day.
