I’ll say this. They loved their art projects more than anything. They all did a great job with their names out of pumpkin seeds.
Second project was a paper plate mask.
My daughter went crazy for the glitter.
Other than that, the file folders were amazing for them. They are getting better at them all the time.
Now here is a little note for my followers and people who are reading my blog. When it comes to shapes at their ages. 4&5 they are perfect at recognizing the regular shapes. However it’s time to move onto more advanced shapes. Sometimes each kit doesn’t come with those, so I have to remind them using other stuff.
The one cool thing I found was a focus wall kit, now I mentioned this already. So now my focus for them on math shapes are going to be the GON shapes / the ZOID/ and the second term for the diamond.
I haven’t gotten a chance to go to Lakeshore , but when I do, I am putting these on the focus wall at all times.
I think I will do a FOCUS wall blog next. So not to overpower this blog with the information.
However It is just a slight note to me to remember that their math skills are growing and shapes is a major part of it. Next after the new year, after they have mastered these shapes will be 3D shapes.
NOTE: Number blocks is my kids favorite show right now, and that is awesome cuz they are learning math rather quickly.
