If you recall I wrote 5 posts on the best places indoor and outdoor to take kids to in AZ.
This is just a reminder of that, with some new and fresh ideas. Covid has changed the way we do things and it’s opened so many more avenues for kids here in AZ.
First Up is ……
1. Parks: now i know I mentioned parks in the old post but here is a little news flash. A lot of the parks ( during covid) got remodeled and even redone. The City of Tempe put out a work order on all their mini parks inside the neighborhoods inside Tempe boundaries and they are all turning out amazing. Sometimes it’s better to just take the kids to a local small park rather than a large overpopulated park.

The remodeling is still underway and will most likely dishes them all by 2025. So way to go Tempe
For more information you can go to the city of Tempe’s website and see the plans for the park closest to you
2. National Natural Parks+ Hiking: the weather will be wonderful soon and it’s time to get the kids involved in our beautiful state. Locally or if you have to drive, it’s always a fun day activity to go somewhere that’s not an actual playground park, but a natural parks. Well National too.

In my personal opinion I would take a toddler to the Grand Canyon but still there are lots of things to do and you don’t have to go to a national park to go hiking. There are lots of local trails .

3. The next is community green belts for BIKING or Walking or Rollerblading.
As a family you should find something to do together. It’s getting cooler by the day.
If your toddlers don’t know how to bike yet, the. It might be time to learn or also buy an attachment for your bike to take them along.
My favorite bike path was in my old neighborhood growing up.

Warner Ranch is in Tempe. It’s one of the largest communities that cover an entire square mile. Warner to ray and Kyrene to rural road. The green belts go through the whole neighborhood. So much fun.
Another idea is to bike ride or walk on the Bike paths along the Canals. Tempe has remodeled theirs in the last ten years to have lights and some parts a fence.

So make it your families goal to find something to do together and enjoy each other.
