With Christmas around the corner I thought I would do a few or more blogs on toys. Being that I am a mother of two toddlers who love toys, and love particular toys.
Now what do we all know about the toy industry. A company comes up with an idea for a toy, tests it out in a room of kids to that age range, and sees if it is a success and then pushes the toy out. Course that is what is supposed to happen, but sometimes we question the toy industry, cuz some toys are so wrong, it isn’t funny.
Now I was born in 1982, so I grew up in the late 80’s and early 90’s for toys, games, cartoons, etc. There are so many of them that HAVE been brought back to this generation of kids to see if it would work again, but some haven’t. Personally, I wish some of the other toys would be brought back.
Now granted I am a female, so I don’t know what boy toys would be good to bring back.
The first 3 are Trolls doll size. I loved these more than cabbage patch dolls. They were soft and they were so much fun to have.
Next up is those mini video games. Now granted they had so many levels. But they were fun non the less. Yes I know kids have tablets now a days, but I would love to see my kids play something other than a tablet.
If you are a girl, I hope you remember Moon Dreamers. They were little fairies in a sense that lived in another detention that controlled good dreams for kids. I love the cartoons, wished I had more of the toys.
Teddy Ruxbin has been re done but not well and not with a great cartoon or live action movie( well puppet) behind it.
I mean look at last years version. Nope thank you. So that’s why it’s not in my actual remake toys, cuz it doesn’t count.
Sweet Secrets. Pretty much the Lol surprise or other surprise toys of today but it’s still not the same .
The keeper toys was one of my favorites for a Christmas when I was little but it didn’t last long but I am pretty sure someone can recreate it a little bit better. My daughter would love it.
My buddy doll are just as important with things like this. I have a whole post on it, but my buddy doll is the perfect reason and something to make for boys today.
Yes I know they have boy dolls, but my buddy was a great toy for boys. I would love it if my son had one.
Last and certainly not least. RAINBOW BRITE. The one toy they have not been able to recreate and successfully . I want rainbow brite back and in full swing for my daughter. She was the most amazing cartoon and toy I owned. I loved her and I have the movie on dvd and we watched it and livi loved it.
I miss her as an adult. Maybe I’m crazy, but if she can be redone right ( like Strawberry Shortcake, the Popples, and my little pony) then I think it would be a hit. The two remakes that they tried, didn’t even make it past a certain couple of episodes.
Honestly I think they are tacky. I guess time will only tell.
