Now I have no clue why I jumped so far. From the 50’s to the 80’s, but I really couldn’t find anything good for Christmas in the 60-70’s. Maybe it was just a STONED AGE and nothing came out right back then. LOL. Sorry, couldn’t help myself.
Okay here we go. Now If i miss any of the ones you like, sorry. But I have a lot to say about movies. Some movies from this generation are not worth mentioning, cuz i thought it was a waste of film.
Such as: Jingle all the Way, Ill be home for Christmas, Deck the Halls, Christmas with the Cranks, BAD SANTA, I just wont ever let my kids watch these. Sorry if I offended anyone, but seriously. The thing you have to know about me is I hate STUPID COMEDY or GROSS COMEDY. My in laws always laugh at me for this, but its just not my forte. So onto my list.
- SANTA CLAUSE: The Movie

I will have THE SANTA CLAUSE next on my list, but this is the BEST SANTA MOVIE EVER MADE. It sticks more to the actual story of Santa. It starts with my being the man ( the regular man) that started taking hand made toys to kids in the forest where he lived. Then he gets granted immortality by father time to do his gift to all the children of the world. It helps explain so much. I loved this version when I was a kid, watched it every Christmas eve, and now I can’t wait to show it to my kids.
2. THE SANTA CLAUSE: 1,2,3

With all movies. The original was the best of the three. However from a Kids perspective, they might 2 or 3 best, cuz it was more kid friendly. The first has references to affairs with the secretary, inappropriate comments about the step father. Plus the second and the third add more legendary characters for other holidays and such. I loved them. Course the second could have done without the Santa toy and just stuck to the finding a wife and helping Charlie.
3. All I want for Christmas

An awesome movie about a brother making sure his little sisters Christmas wish comes true. To get his separated parents back together.
4. HOME ALONE 1 &2:
Now on Disney Plus. The only two of this huge silly series that matter.
5. Babes in Toyland: Drew Barrymore and Keanu Reeves

A very interesting addition and remake from the original. Lots of 80’s and early 90’s actors and actresses. Very cutie and cheesy, but fun for kids.
6. Jackfrost

A fun family movie. The dad (Jack) is the band leader of his band but gets killed in a car crash on his way home for Christmas. However the following Christmas his son brings him back to life in a snowman form with a WISH. Lots of fun, and my kids love the snowman dad.
7. Miracle on 34th Street

Another remake, that was made differently, but the message is the same. BELIEVE
8. Prancer
“Jessica, the daughter of an impoverished farmer, still believes in Santa Claus. So when she comes across a reindeer with an injured leg, it makes perfect sense to her to assume that it is Prancer, who had fallen from a Christmas display in town. She hides him in her barn and feeds him cookies, until she can return him to Santa.” A perfect Christmas believe story.
9. ELF

The only movie that i know of that he has done that is KID appropriate and it has real toys at Santa Workshop. Etch a Sketch, Mr. Potato Heads. Make Santa more real.
10. The Grinch: Jim Carrey

The only Live action movie of the Grinch and I think Jim Carrey killed it. It is an awesome movie.
11. A Christmas Story

Going to be honest here. I don’t care for this movie, but my husband my his family love it. I would be in trouble if I didn’t add this to the list.
Enjoy this list. If i forgot anything. comment below which Christmas movie is your favorite.
Upcoming lists still: 1. Disney Cartoons, 2. Disney Live, 3. And ADULT Christmas
