Sick Day to do list. What to do for your little ones when one or all are sick.

Covid has definitely made us all rethink our sick days.

When the kids were born, all the way up to covid, their pediatricians office always told us to wait until the 7th day of them being sick before coming in to the office for anti biotic’s. They believe in giving the body a chance to heal itself on its own with the following regiment.

1. Zarbees

The all natural cold medicinal that works great to help your little one get through it. They also have a whole infant line. Which I plan on getting my sister in law for my future nephew.

2. Zyrtec

Baby and children’s Zyrtec is great for fighting those before they get to draining noses stage. For Allergies only.

3. Nasal spray.

There are a couple of brands for this. I like using this one but the other I buy is

It goes great with …..

4. Boogie Wipes

I mean when I was a kid we had those tissue Commercials for Puffs tissues. But boogie wipes are great for kids and adults. Especially if your little one can figure out how to blow their nose.

Speaking of which. If you have a infant or baby. The best nose sucker is……..

5. Nose Frida

This company has come a long way since they invented the Windy. They even have a whole after birth kid for mommy’s now. But the windy is the best nose sucker. It uses your sucking capability vs what a small nose sucker ( like the one you get at the hospital) after the first time of having one of those and cutting it open after the first year ( even when I cleaned it) it was nasty.

This allows you to see what is coming out, and you can keep it clean.

6. humidifier.

Everyone has there own favorites. Doesn’t matter what brand you get. It’s a pain to keep clean anyways. Frida company has come up with their own, and it comes with a built night light. I’m looking forward to trying it.

Now when it comes to fevers. My pediatrician has a rule of thumb. If it is over 101, I can give my kids Advil children’s. And it works so quick. But a small grade fever. In my kids case 98.9 or higher just give them children’s Tylenol.

When they were babies it was Tylenol all the time. No Advil for an infant unless their temp is higher than 102. But I am not quoting myself on that. You need to ask your own pediatrician. Please contact them.

Anyways. It’s a sick day at home so what I do besides the Meds side of it. We have a movie day.

An all day day at home. Movies. Soup, and popsicles.
