My favorite part of the Christmas holiday when I was working for the local school district, was conducting the yearly challenge of the Gingerbread House.
With the preschoolers it is all about the houses made out of Graham Crackers and Frosting, which is what I plan on doing with the kids on Monday. When it comes to real Gingerbread I have never been a fan. Especially the frosting that comes in the kits to glue it together. That’s a perfect description fo rit. Cuz that is what it tastes like too.

With the Frosting and graham crackers is also easier for preschoolers to work with. I am so looking forward to making them.
When I was working with the Middle schoolers, We actually bought the giant kit, and had a competition with the other sites for the best one. My site won the first year. We made a house that was based on Mario Brothers. It was awesome. I wish I could get a hold the picture for it. I was proud of my kids.
For them as individuals we did the graham crackers but they had to make them into other things. Not houses. My favorite one was one of the kids turned theirs into the Titanic.

For the rest of the subjects, the lesson plan is easy.
The dramatic play is going to be my favorite. Turning it into a Baking shop is going to be fun. Course if i had the cardboard i would make a life size house for them to play.

I have pretend cookies, but with a craft, other than the houses, we can make pretend cookies for the area.

The Gingerbread and Treats printable are so cute this time i am so excited to do them .
For story time I am going to put on the classic book on YouTube of the Gingerbread man. After that we are going to make our houses, and also I will have this printed for them to play with on the main table of the house.

So this is the end of this blog. I hope and wish everyone a great week ahead.
