How did it go? Gingerbread and Sweets.

To be quite honest it went really well. I was so happy how much the kids were excited and happy with today.

Side note: this week was supposed be to Deck the Halls which is that week about decorating for Christmas, but for some reason I chose not to use it. I can’t remember if I switched the weeks around or not, but whatever. It worked out in the end.

We began our day with our calendar time and putting the December dates in order for our calendar.

Some sad note made me realize that the kids are getting some numbers backwards. Not my daughter of course, she’s so smart with numbers it isn’t funny.

But they boys got 13 mixed up with 31, 12 with 21 and so forth. So we hand to talk about it, and go to the chalk board after that to talk about how to read numbers again.

It’s an honest mistake for a almost 5 year old and a 3 in a half year old.

From there our special guest ( my mother) arrived to help out with our gingerbread lesson. We had the kids build their houses.

As I said with preschoolers it’s more fun to use tea frosting and not that nasty stuff that comes in the kits. course I had a good laugh all the way through it cuz the kids were eating it before putting it on. Lol.

Then after our houses were good a frozen ( had to put them in the freezer for 10 mins while they hardened so the would hold) the kids were ready to decorate and I must say I am in love with my kids creativity. My daughter especially ( might not have any rim nor reason) but is so wonderful with her decorating.

Today was a happy day.

Next week will be Santa and his Helpers, followed by a sort of version of Deck the Halls with lessons on all the holidays, and then The New Year

I hope everyone is having a good season. Merry Xmas and happy holidays.
