I think this is going to be a very interesting theme. As I said in my last post. Santa is a hard subject to teach in a preschool class room.

Not all the kids in my classroom or MPR celebrated Christmas or even Santa. Course with my little 3 person class, I know what they celebrate, so easy peasy.
My 3rd student is family, and even though they know the truth of it, i have spoken with my nieces and nephews and they know not to spoil it for my kids. I had to remind my little student that when we started class back up after every one was sick for that one week. I pulled him aside and told him that Livi and Will beleive in the magic of santa, and he can’t spoil that for them.
So with that, next week will be all about just learning with fun. So there is no teaching about Santa, they already know who he is. its just going to be a fun lesson with mostly pretend play.

As you can see its mostly just for fun. With a North Pole Dramatic Play. Fun Games to play for gros and Fine skills.

I am going to turn my little area into a Santa Bakery. Since that’s all that I have for this theme. Don’t have pretend tools anymore and I won’t want to have a wrapping section unless I get dollar tree stuff. Well have to see.
Arts and Crafts will be Ornament making. We are going to make hand prints on card stock and turn them into things.

Then there is cottonball santa

For this week we are going to do a physical activity by doing the gross motor skills. Acting like reindeer and do the jumping contest.
Other than that well play it by ear. Have a great week everyone.
