IT WAS AWESOME.
The kids had a great time and I had a couple more kiddos added to the party but it was fun.

With the party supplies the kids went nuts. They wore them practically the whole time.
We started our day with our normal calendar time and talked about how the calendar will change on Friday. How our month will change, the year will change, etc.
We talked about why it changes. With the help of my two older kiddos that came, they helped me explain how many days there are in a year, what makes a year, and the seasons.

It’s always good to use the new year as a way of explaining this but when we get to space week, we’ll talk more.
From there we watched Rudolph’s Shiny New Year.

The kids loved it.
After that we did our arts and crafts. The older kids loved it more because they don’t do a lot of art with home school, and they made their hats with such details.

Then we had our dance party with the countdown. Sadly Netflix had not yet downloaded their countdown stories yet, so I had to wing it.

Then we had lunch and the kids went home. A successful NOON YEAR event
Tomorrow is the official New Years Eve Day, and I plan a lot of fun stuff with my kiddos for real.
I hope every one has a great 2021 New Year. See you all in 2021.
