Next Week: Birds and Nests

This is going to be a very interesting theme. More egg science. Which will be awesome. However the Dramatic play is what scares me.

A life size nest??????

However this looks too much of a mess and I don’t have the space for it, so we won’t be doing this.

Instead. We are going to go on a little nature walk and find sticks, rocks, etc to make our own mini nests for class.

For more of a science day tomorrow we are going to do the following science experiments.

Rubber eggs.

Suck and egg yoke.

Egg floating.

As far as birds go, this is different from the farm/chickens we did in the fall. This is more on other species of birds. My in laws always have great birds in their backyard, and does my parents with their bird feeders. So this week, we’ll print off a list of birds the kiddos, and when we go over to their houses we’ll do bird watching to see which ones we see.

For Arts and Crafts: it’s so obvious,……

Bird feeders.

So many different ones, it’s almost an experiment of their own. Which one do birds like best. I always made pine cone ones with my students, but I think tomorrow we might try the toast one, or the toilet paper one. I guess we’ll see.

As a side note for math: the kids are doing Dot to Dots worksheets for me for both alphabet and numbers. And also come Disney math pages.

Have a good week everyone.
