How did it go? Rocks and Dirt.

Well it went very well, I am very proud of my kiddos. We went on a rock hunt and found some very cool rocks.

Now by our apt is a big dirt patch and they have tones of stones and rocks laid on top for cars to drive on so we went there. The kids had such a good time and were so excited to bring them back home.

Now when we got home we did watch a video about the three types of rocks, but to a 4 year old, and two 5 year olds, it’s like , WHAT?

So when we got to the table I had them divide up their rocks three different ways.

1. Biggest to smallest.

2. Smooth to Rough

3. Colors.

After that session of lesson, I told them they could go to free time but they stuck with their rocks. Once one started trying to stack them, the others followed.

So rocks went very well. Now as for mud, I didn’t get a chance to make it for them today, but tomorrow we are going over to my parents house , and they have lots of mud. So we’ll do our mud lesson there.
