For the people who are following me or find they are liking my posts, I thank you for an excellent first year.
Next year, even though my children will not be at home 24/7 with school starting, and covid finally falling into the abyss, I still plan to decorate the learning area.
For my daughter who will be in full day kinder, she will but see this area after she gets home from school and on weekends. It will mainly be used for my sons home learning part of the day, however I hope she will use this area to study for school. I plan on getting helpful tools for kinder work as well.
Now to the theme. I have always, from my very first year at deciding what my classrooms theme to be, was an obsession of mine. It ended up being so bad that I had planned an entire year with the theme of AROUND THE WORLD that the school had chosen, and used in in my after school program for my 4th-5th graders, with our room decor as an AIRPORT. I never got to use it. Though I keep it in my back pocket for the future one day to use it again when the kids are older.
Anyways, my theme for last year was the Scribble and polka dot classroom if you recall.
So what is my theme going to be this year. Teacher Created Resources is still my favorite teacher products and since some of my stuff is reusable. ( I didn’t keep much but my calendar and the pocket chart.) so I need to stay within the rainbow color spectrum. Plus it is still a great way to get kids to love it. I think if I chose the succulent collection, they would be board. But I want that collection down the line for my office. Lol.
So my theme for next school year is ………
Chalkboard!!!!!!!!
Very pretty and since I have a huge chalkboard for the kids to use and myself, I think chalkboard letters and boarders, are perfect.
The background colors for the BETTER than PAPER, will be green and if I can find it pink. However if I cannot, the blue will have to do, or yellow.
I have a bunch of ideas, but I want to go to Lakeshore to see which stuff they have before heading to amazon and buying things. If you recall, one of the other is cheaper. That’s why I call myself the TAWL mom. TARGET, AMAZON, WALMART, & LAKESHORE. I go to all these places on a regular basis to find the right deals.
I’m excited to also make the learning wall ( wherever that might be: house or still here) into this!!! The decorations and colors.
So we shall see.
