For the first 3 day’s of thr our little home school preschool program, I just did the circle time to introduce it to them. I sang the songs, showed the calendar and such. It didn’t last long, but it was okay.
Now I am introducing a little longer schedule for their day. I brought out their paper lessons and had them try to accomplish them. My 5 year old did a lot better than my 4 year old which is to be expected. I think he just liked doing them cuz his sister was doing them. So I mostly focused on her attention in them rather than his.
Slow but surely he’ll get there. It’s only the first week. I don’t expect much from either of them until next month. After we’ve been doing this for a couple of weeks and back into our apt in sept.
I am just going to be doing mini lessons every day growing as I go to get them ready for my of an actual day.
Course here’s my thing is I see all of Livis friends who are older than her by only a few months starting kindergarten, and I wonder if starting her technically on time and not early was the best choice. I guess we’ll see. My mother in law is helping by teaching her how to read using that one program I showed and she’s doing great.
Once she’s finished with that , my mother in law will start with Will.
Wish me luck tomorrow is my last day of the camping lessons.
