Like I said in the fire safety post, its a tough subject for preschoolers to learn. However, I hope they learn it fast. With it being Fire season, its the perfect time to learn how to call for help. Especially on ones cell phone.
The Dialing on the phone when we were kids was easy. Just pick up a phone with a land line, and dial the numbers.
Now with a cell phone, and locked screens, its more of a step by step process. I showed the kids the process today, especially my two older kiddos. We went on my phone to show them, but I might take more then a couple of times to enforce it. So this entire week will be all about it.
We even watched Tommy Flames on YouTube. He was pretty cool about helping out kids and showing them about being safe during a fire. I highly recommended it. Well also watched Blippis Fire Truck show. It was my sons favorite part of the day.
Only onward for the rest of the week. Making sure my kids know what to do if a fire is in our home or if mommy and daddy are hurt.
